Over the five days of our Windsor chairmaking course, our chairmakers shaped freshly felled ash using froes, axes, draw knives, pole-lathes, steam bending, adzes, spoke shaves and travishers. Logs became legs and variety of beautiful stools and chairs emerged.

The level of craftsmanship involved in traditional chairmaking is truly impressive, and seeing the step-by-step process really makes you appreciate the history behind every piece of furniture here in the UK.
