THINGS TO DO
IN AND AROUND WERNOG WOOD

Before going anywhere else, there are 22 acres of Wernog Wood and wildflower meadows to discover. The woodland is a varied mix, mainly of oak, ash and sycamore, thick with wild garlic and bluebells. A small spring fed stream runs through the woods.

Wernog Wood is nestled within the Clwydian Range, which forms part of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  We have views of Snowdonia, the Berwyn Mountains and all the way to the sea.

Whilst staying with us, you are perfectly placed to explore this stunning scenery on foot, on a bike or any other mode of transport!  Just 200m from Offa’s Dyke and footpaths in every direction, you can enjoy evening walks in the heather covered hills, down into Ruthin, or along Offa’s Dyke itself to a variety of rural pubs.

Local towns within 20 miles include Ruthin,  DenbighMold, Llangollen and Chester.
