Course suitability

All our courses are aimed at adults, aged 18yrs +.

You do not need any prior experience of these crafts unless otherwise stated.

The majority of courses involve physical activity requiring a reasonable level of strength and fitness. We aim to make courses accessible wherever possible within the context and limitations of an uneven ground within a sloped woodland setting. Get in touch if you have any concerns regarding your mobility or physical needs prior to your booking.

Clothing and safety wear

Please carefully read our recommendations of 'what to bring' with you. This includes guidance on suitable and safe clothing for your working day and for your comfort when camping. We will provide any more specialised safety wear such as goggles, ear defenders, dust masks, aprons or gloves, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Booking a course

To book a space, please complete our online booking form. Your place on the course will be subject to availability and you can be placed on a waiting list if the course is full

On receipt of your booking, we will send you a payment request for 50% of the course fee. Your spaces will only be confirmed once we have received your course deposit.

The balance of your course fee will be payable 40 days before your course starts. Failure to do so may result in us cancelling your place on the course and keeping any payment you have paid. N.B. there may be additional costs for materials which are payable during your visit. These will be described on the details of the course costs.

Vouchers

You may pay (or part pay) for your course using course vouchers which are available from Wernog Wood on request. Once booked onto a course, we will follow the below guidance on refunds and cancellations if you cancel or fail to attend.

Changes to the advertised courses

We make every effort to run our courses as advertised but reserve the right to change the time, date, tutor or content of any course where necessary to facilitate or improve delivery of the course. We will notify all booked students of substantial changes.

We also reserve the right to cancel or postpone the course with 14 days notice (unless forced to comply with COVID regulations) if we do not receive enough bookings to make the course viable. In this case, we aim to transfer you to another suitable course, or we can offer a full refund of the course fee.

Refunds & cancellations

Once your place has been booked, refunds will only be available for cancellations made up to 40 days before the course start date, regardless of the reason. Regrettably, refunds cannot be offered after this time.  Other options may be available, such as transferring your place to a friend.

We cannot be held responsible for any of your travel or accommodation costs booked independently from us.

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO COVID â€‹

In the incidence that you are legally required to self isolate due to COVID, we will endeavour to fill your space if we have a waiting list. However we regret to say that we are not obliged to do so if this is not possible.

If we are forced to cancel the course due to COVID regulations or lockdown measures, we will give you a full refund of your course fees, or offer credit for your space on a course at a later date.

In these uncertain times of COVID, we recommend you take out travel insurance to cover

any unforeseen circumstances and cancellation costs.
