Learn how to make stained glass
COURSE DETAILS

Over a colour filled two days with glass artist Brian Duffy,  you will design and make a 35cm square leaded stained glass panel to be illuminated by natural light in your window, or displayed within a handmade metal frame if you choose.

Firstly you will plan your design pattern on paper before learning to successfully cut both curved and straight glass shapes. Using Sgraffito techniques, you will paint surface designs onto your glass to be fired overnight, ready for you to lead, solder and cement on day two.

Alternatively you can choose a half day course making a leaded landscape panel using traditional, but unpainted stained glass.

You do not need any previous artistic experience as pre-made designs are available, however you are welcome to create your own.
