Her work sells in galleries across the UK. She makes artworks to commission & is a member of The Guild of Makers in Wales . Stories from our students We had a fabulous time on our glass fusing weekend. Verity was really knowledgeable and very easy going. We were novices but she had lots of ideas to help us out and a wide range of products to choose from. Wernog Wood is a stunning place, perfect for workshops and in such a beautiful setting. The food was lovely, the facilities fabulous, and we were made to feel really welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We'd love to visit again and will keep an eye out for future workshops. - Emma What a brilliant place so welcoming, relaxed and creative. Thank you to Verity for leading the glass landscapes course. A great day of learning new techniques in such a relaxing and encouraging class. Great to meet such lovely people. The Red shed we stayed in was lovely: comfortable, cosy and unique. Definitely plan to go back. - Wendy Verity the tutor has a nice relaxed way of introducing glass fusing and encourages those a bit reluctant to start the process by telling them they can achieve anything. She provides all the glass and materials needed and explains the results each item will produce. I was a bit hesitant at first but Verity provided lots of images/pictures to give you inspiration. I became so engrossed by the process that I produced three pieces for firing. Two window hangings and one stand alone piece. I had a brilliant day and the rest of the group were all lovely to work with. - Polly An amazing weekend course run by Verity Pulford Glass Artist, hosted by Wernog Wood... even better than anticipated. - Chris I couldn't be happier, the tuition, the facilities, the company the atmosphere, it was such a wonderful weekend. Claire, Rob and our tutor Verity were welcoming, available and generous. Nell and the chickens, especially Mrs Eyebrows were also key players in a fabulous weekend. Verity - our tutor is so knowledgeable, encouraging and helpful. I think we all came away with so much more than we thought we'd achieve. - Lizzie I did the glass fusing day with Verity Pulford. It's not something I've done before, I wanted to try something different and glass looks so pretty. Verity was very patient and just a great bunch of people which made the day a pleasure. Being challenged to look at photographs in a different way and in different scales really pushes the bounds of ‘what I know’. After battling with acne for many years and unsuccessfully trying every product on the market, Sami made the decision to start researching skincare in her mid 20s. Immersing herself in the world of natural and holistic skincare and wellness, she used her knowledge to begin creating skincare products that would actually care for her skin. Her products weren’t grown in a lab, but in the meadows, hedgerows, and woodlands of rural North Wales. In 2022 Sami decided to change track. She is a self professed introvert and, drawing upon 30 years of her own business success, now supports other introverted and quietly-ambitious women to create and develop their own business brands. If you have dreams of developing skincare products and perhaps one day your own small business, what better place to start than to join Sami in the variety of skincare courses she offers here in Wernog Wood. Stories from our students This is not the first time we have run this course but we do not have any reviews ... but this is what students have said about Sami's soap making course. --- It's 5 stars from me for both the course I took, 'Soap Making' with Sami Blackford and the oh so gorgeous surroundings, both inside and out, of Wernog Wood. We mixed, melted and watched as magic happened before our very eyes, leaving Wernog Wood with excellent instructions and information for making our own soap. I had an awesome day with amazing women and really inspiring art. Thank you #veritypulfordglass , and also #wernogwood Claire and Rob for hosting us with such a warm welcome. Anyone considering this but like me feeling not very confident, we were all beginniners and look what we did in a day (and other pieces as well). Nourishes the soul - Rebecca Excellent!!! Thoroughly enjoyed my day! Learning about the process of painting on glass was absorbing and immensely satisfying, especially when I saw the results. The course was well structured throughout with clear instructions for every process. Verity is warm and welcoming and possesses a great capacity for bringing people together to learn in a non pressurised setting. We all took more from the workshop than just our paintings.
