COURSE DETAILS

Are you a maker wishing to present your work more effectively through images in order to sell your work? Effective photography can be the key to success and getting noticed online.

On this studio based day with David White, you will start with a photography presentation, going on to photograph your own & others handmade products. You will learn to get the best out of your equipment and visually simplify images for impact, taking time to think about the subject, light, composition and story telling.

You discover what is possible with a smart phone vs a camera and the advantages of both. Using your photos  of the day, you will take a detailed look at Adobe Lightroom for efficient editing & organisation of RAW images, giving you skills and confidence to push your photography to new technical and creative levels.

Come equipped with a modern digital camera with interchangeable lens capability and recent model of iPhone, Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy with a decent camera and if possible, a tripod.

Stories from our students
Photography courses, classes or workshops in Wales
Such a great product photography course at Wernog Wood, run by David White. I learnt so much that my head is still processing it all! Just have to save up for a decent camera now, oh and maybe a new laptop... 🙈 But in the meantime, David gave me lots of ways and ideas to make the most of my phone camera, which I've already been experimenting with. I am totally hooked! For any creatives out there or photographers, I'd highly recommend any of David's courses. - Caroline

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course. Being challenged to look at photographs in a different way and in different scales really pushes the bounds of ‘what I know’. The artwork in the afternoon was also very thought provoking and really useful. And the introduction to Lightroom was exceptional. I feel like I’ve learned an awful lot and had some very thought provoking information presented to me. - Dave

It was paced just right for me and I re-learnt a lot about camera settings. Also the tuition on Adobe light room really opened my eyes to what can be achieved with some good editing.- Chris
