Helena Binns - Hill & Loom
YOUR TUTOR

Helena Binns from Hill and Loom is a handweaver and teacher, who draws her inspiration from a life spent in the mountains of Snowdonia and beyond.

She weaves wearables and art pieces on a traditional floor loom from her home studio in North Wales. Helena chooses yarns for their quality, colour, texture and feel. Using sustainable yarns, she weaves in wool, linen, cotton and silk.

...

She is inspired by the diversity of textures, colours and feelings of the land and how it unfolds itself through the changing seasons. Her handwoven textiles are ‘of the land’ and  through her woven textiles she hopes to evoke the feeling of landscape.
