COURSE DETAILS

The reality of communicating what you do as an artist of maker effectively online means catching peoples attention with short video stories on social media.

For many this can seem a chore or or a technical challenge beyond. This fun and informative day teaches you to use your phone and/or camera to make engaging video shorts that are both fun to make, creative and truly communicate your craft to others.

David will distil the world of videography, video editing, story telling, lighting and composition into a simple take-away tool kit for great results.

In a series of practical sessions, you will look at handmade objects, the making processes and the people that make them. You will then learn how to make punchy edits and how to upload these to social media using hashtags.

This day course that should be called ‘Fully embrace tech for artists and makers’ will help you see communicating what you do as a fun and rewarding part of your creative practice.
