Designs for your glass
Bring drawings, magazine cuttings or photos with images that you may want to incorporate into your glass piece. The options are endless, but they could be patterns, flowers, leaves, seed heads, insects, butterflies, birds or other creatures for example, or you could bring actual plants for inspiration.
Â
Clothing
You don’t need to bring anything else specific for the course but wise to come in old clothing fit for a workshop! We will provide aprons, dust masks and gloves, but welcome to bring your own if you would prefer.
Â
Course materials
Don’t forget to bring cash for your course materials.
For glass fusing, this is likely to be £25-£40 for glass & accessories, a mirror and/or a lantern depending on what you choose to make.
Â
Firing your glass pieces
At the end of the course, Verity will take your glass home with her to fire in her kiln. You will need to discuss details with Verity on the day about how you receive your glass, either by collection or by post. Please note that this will be:
1 week after your course in November or December
2-3 weeks after your spring or summer courses
